Victim went to Piedmont hospital complaining of chest pains, during the examination solution from the IV was pumped into soft tissue, causing regional pain syndrome. Michael and his wife subsequently filed a medical malpractice lawsuit and were awarded a $4.4 million verdict in damages by a Fulton county jury.

A jury awarded Bowbliss and his wife, Dee Anna, $5.4 million for his injury during a routine blood draw, including $2 million on a loss of consortium claimed filed by his wife.
Preston Lewis v. Hays Trucking Company | $1,250,000
Owner of D. Hays Trucking, Inc., was driving a trailer tracker loaded with pine stumps from Alabama to the Hercules plant in Georgia, when he crashed the tractor-trailer into the car of Phyllis Lewis, killing her. A jury granted the executor of the Lewis estate $1.25 million in damages.
