Lloyd Bell
Founding Partner
For more than three decades, Lloyd Bell has fought for patients and families devastated by medical negligence and catastrophic injury. A former U.S. Army JAG Corps attorney, Lloyd founded Bell Law Firm in 1999 with a single mission: to hold powerful healthcare institutions accountable when preventable medical errors change lives forever.
Since then, he has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients, including some of the most significant medical malpractice and catastrophic injury verdicts in Georgia history: a $75 million verdict in 2022 — the largest medical malpractice verdict ever returned in the state — a $46 million verdict in Waldrop v. Payne, a record-setting $26 million verdict against a Columbus hospital, an $18 million verdict in a cardiology malpractice case, and a $15 million verdict against one of Georgia’s largest healthcare providers.
Lloyd’s work has earned recognition among the nation’s leading trial lawyers. He is the only Georgia attorney admitted to the Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only organization limited to 100 of the country’s most accomplished plaintiff trial lawyers. He is also a member of the International Society of Barristers and the AAJ Leaders Forum, president of the Georgia chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and board certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.
