This fall, we launched the inaugural season of our “Face the Jury” podcast, complete with 7 episodes hosted by Lloyd Bell. The support from our listeners was tremendous.  What we realized is that we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of topics to explore within the legal arena, health and safety, medical malpractice and more. We’re looking forward to sharing more stories, guests, case analysis and more in Season 2.  Until then, let’s take a look at what you might have missed in Season 1:

The State of the Industry

Lloyd starts the series on a strong note with a deep dive into the big business of medicine, where medical error is the third leading killer in America. He raises the question, is the law the last, best safeguard against deadly malpractice? What happens if you are harmed by malpractice?

Protecting Yourself Against Malpractice

Episode 2 begins with defining malpractice: what it is, what it isn’t, and what to do if you or someone you love might have suffered malpractice. Navigating the legal process can be complicated when it comes to medical malpractice cases, but this episode outlines what to do if you think you have a case on your hands.

War Stories

When it comes to medical malpractice litigation, Lloyd Bell and Bell Law Firm have a strong track record of success. In Episode 3, Lloyd talks through real-life cases he took on: what happened, how things played out in court, and what it took to bring justice for those involved.

The Case of Sandra Williams

Williams v. St. Francis Hospital was a record-verdict medical malpractice case for the Bell Law Firm team. In Episodes 4 & 5, Lloyd recounts the case intricacies, key facts, and how he secured a $26M verdict in Columbus, Georgia.

How to Win a Trial

To wrap up Season 1 of “Face the Jury,” Lloyd shares his tips and tricks on how to win a trial. Episodes 6 & 7 cover everything from preparation, to presentation and how to convince a jury to return a righteous verdict for the plaintiff. He also does a deep dive into the most important aspects of a jury trial: jury selection and opening statement.

What’s Next

“Face the Jury” served as a valuable tool in confronting the issues of medical malpractice in America, and equipping listeners on how to identify and protect against medical negligence. Next season, listeners can expect the same engaging storytelling from Lloyd, but with some exciting new guests to offer additional industry insight and perspective.
